Hill Center

Hill Center was originally constructed in the 1960s as part of the College's move to South Hill, with significant renovations completed in 1997. The facility now provides modern space for student athletic trainers to treat athletes, and it houses the multipurpose Ben Light Gymnasium, an indoor pool, and various labs and classroom space for the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.

The athletic training area is well equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic modalities (including whirlpool treatment facilities), rehabilitation equipment, and both taping and treatment tables. Along with the Fitness Center, Hill provides a great space for recreational sports such as basketball and volleyball.

Also in Hill Center are offices for the Departments of Health Promotion and Physical Education, Sport Management and Media, and Recreation and Leisure Studies, as well as the physical activity, leisure, and safety (PALS) office. PALS classes provide students with an opportunity to improve their exercise regimen and physiological development. The Office of Intercollegiate Athletics also maintains an office in Hill.
