Residential life on the Ithaca campus is all about options. Our residence halls accommodate many living spaces -- singles, doubles, triples, suites, and apartments -- as well as lifestyle choices. All campus housing is smoke-free.

Halls like the Towers, the Quads, and the Terraces offer more traditional residential life experiences with single- and double-occupancy rooms; in addition the Terraces offer triple-occupancy rooms and suites.

All rooms are furnished, and each has its own character, ranging from an all-women's floor to quiet halls, substance-free arrangements to halls specifically for first-year students. Learning communities such as Vecinos (Spanish language and culture), Sustainably Conscious Living, and the HOME program (Housing Offering a Multicultural Experience) are options for those wanting to expand their cultural horizons.

Some students opt for the independent living styles offered by Emerson Hall and the Garden and Circle Apartments. These apartment-style options include living, sleeping, and kitchen spaces. Across campus, rooms in every residence are hardwired for Internet access and come ready for phone and cable service.

There are three dining halls on campus, each conveniently located and recently renovated, that provide traditional and specialty fare seven days a week. Options include vegetarian, vegan, and kosher meals. The dining staff can also make special arrangements for students with other dietary needs. And students can take advantage of the Bonus Bucks program, which allows them to pick up a snack at many vendors across campus simply by using their student ID card.
