The business school in Smiddy is fantastic. In addition to the high-tech wonders of the trading and e-commerce rooms, the professors are amazing. They bring vast experience in their fields and have a lot more to teach than simple theory. Faculty here really make an effort to relate to their students.

The School of Business and several HSHP departments make their home in Smiddy Hall. With four floors of modern teaching, computing, meeting, and office space, this facility provides a great working environment for our students and faculty. But that's just the beginning.
Ithaca is one of the few undergraduate institutions in the world where the ticker runs on Wall Street time, and the Center for Trading and Analysis of Financial Instruments is where the action is. Real-time streaming data from over 125 exchanges fly by on the data wall as students track mock portfolios at 25 workstations. With this kind of access, students get hands-on experience in securities trading and learn the ins and outs of financial markets.
Students also have access to a computer lab in Smiddy, outfitted with the latest in business software, including Virtual Analyst and Research Insight.
Upstairs you'll find the Sir Alexander Ewing-Ithaca College Speech and Hearing Clinic, where speech-pathology and audiology faculty and students serve clients from the College and surrounding community. Also in Smiddy are the offices for the Departments of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy.
