Applying to IC: Getting Started
There are a few things you will need to do before you can audition at Ithaca College!
In addition to submitting your application, you will need to include and official high school transcript, a letter of recommendation , a transcript of any college work done, and the results of your Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I) or the American College Testing (ACT) test. Applications, which are available from the College's Office of Admission, should be submitted as early in the senior year as possible. Applicants should send their completed application materials to the Ithaca College Office of Admission no later than two weeks before their scheduled audition. Our modified rolling admission policy means that applicants are notified of their status as soon as possible, after all admission materials are received and the audition is completed, begining in January.
In additon, all applicants to the School of Music are required to schedule and audition. Contact Dianne Zamoiski at the School of Music to register for an audition or to have an audition registration card sent to you (dzamoiski@ithaca.edu or 607-274-3366).
Once you have registered for an audition, you will be asked to complete the following for the School of Music's admission office:
- A student data form (sent to you with confirmation of you audition date)
- Your music teacher's recommendation (included with School of Music date form)
