Affiliation Agreements

Ithaca College will establish clinical affiliation agreements with physical therapy practice settings that demonstrate the ability to provide effective teaching in the clinical setting. The ability to provide a quality learning experience will be assessed by the Clinical Education committee and department faculty based on input from the Clinical Site Information Form, site visits, student feedback, communications with the facility and written documentation. The APTA “Guidelines for Clinical Education” will be used to guide decision making.

No student or family member should contact a potential clinical facility to establish an agreement. Students may submit a proposal for a potential clinical site through the Office of Experiential Learning.
