Professionalism

The student is expected to conduct him or herself in a professional manner at all times. Students must always identify themselves as a physical therapy student, and not imply that they are a physical therapist. Students must adhere to policies and procedures established by the clinical placement site and academic institution as well as the State Practice Act for the location, the APTA Guide for Professional Conduct and the APTA Code of Ethics. Patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations are to be maintained at all times.
