Prior to arrival at the site
1. Find and secure housing.
*Housing is the student's responsibility. Plan ahead for housing costs.*
2. Meet all facility requirements.
The PT department will provide students with information regarding a facility's requirements (health, criminal background check, drug screening, dress code etc). It is the student's responsiblily to meet these requirements and submit documentation in a timely manner. Students must provide proof of fulfilling all immunization, health, criminal background check, and other requirements . Students who have not satisfied site requirements will not be allowed to begin the clinical education course.
3. Approximately 8 weeks prior to the start date the student will send the CCCE a letter of introduction and their student profile.
4. Communicate directly with the CCCE or CI to determine the hours of the clinical placement and where to meet on the first day. Students who have not successfully connected with the CCCE/CI four weeks prior to the start date should notify the ADCE/DCE for assistance.
