The Ithaca College School of Music
is pleased to announce the 2008
Heckscher Composition Prize
$3,000 will be awarded for the best work
for a mixed chamber ensemble of 5-7 performers
10-20 minutes in duration
No woodwind or brass quintets or works including voice will be considered
No concertos will be considered, but extended solos are acceptable
It is expected that the composer will attend the award performance in spring 2009.
Deadline: July 1, 2008
The winning work will be announced September 1, 2008 and parts must be provided by September 15.
