Casa Sassonia Welcomes You

One of two German houses, Casa Sassonia is located at Circolo Espera, corso Moncalieri 2 right on the beautiful Po River. Not a very big house, but the view that it gives makes up for its small size. When you step inside the house, you are asked to exchange money into the "house currency" if you want to eat or drink.

The mug that they served the drinks in was very nice and advertised a German beer on it. It made for a nice little souvenir if you didn't mind giving up your five Euro deposit. The food was good as well. For 9-12 Euro you could have paid for a nice size meal or for a little more you could have received a full meal. Germans are known for their pork and sauerkraut so it was definitely worth it to try this dish out.

The house band was pretty good, but there was not much room for dancing. But but you never know who will be wandering by. Rumor has it that Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy, the German figure skating pair visited the house. It was definitely a nice place to stop by and get a taste of Germany's Olympic spirit.
It wasn't just the Dutch and the Germans dancing the night away. The Italian House was also a great place to be. Check it out for more fun night life events.
