Move-In
Spring 2025 Move-In
Move-in will be split between two locations depending on where the student will live in the spring. Students moving into the Circle Apartments will check-in through the Circles Area Office located in the Circles Community Center. Students living in any other building will check-in through the main Residential Life Office located in the lobby of the East Tower.
- Move-in for New Students: Thursday, January 16, 12:00pm-5:00pm
- Move-in for Returning Students: Friday, January 17, - Sunday, January 19, 9:00am-6:00pm
- Students living in the same room for both the fall and spring semesters can go directly to their room, when they return to campus from break. There is a simple 2-step SELF check-in process online to report that you have returned to campus that will open up in January 2025.
Students are allowed to have helpers move them into their building. There are no carts or move in assistance available.
Severe Weather Plan
If the weather team determines that there are dangerous conditions (lightening) and it is unsafe for staff, students and families to be outside, key distribution would be paused. Staff directing traffic and Move-in crew volunteers would be directed to shelter inside. In the event of severe weather, the Rave Guardian app will be used to communicate if there is a pause in move-in and when the activities can be resumed once the danger has passed.

When on-campus, family members can opt into the college’s Emergency Notification System to receive an IC Alert text whenever the college sends out an emergency message via Rave Guardian. If you wish to opt in to this service, text “ICVisitor” to 226787. You can stop receiving messages at any time by texting “stop” to 226787.
- The Early Arrival Form Opens in Workflow January 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM
- If you are part of an organization that is expected to move-in early (e.g. Resident Assistants, Athletics, Jumpstart, Dining, etc.), your organization leader/department will submit an Early Arrival form on your behalf.
- If you are living in the same room for both the fall and spring semesters, simply fill out the Winter Break Occupancy form in Workflow to let us know if you are returning prior to January 18, 2025.
- Meal Plans begin on Monday, January 13, 2025.
- Groups arriving to campus prior to January 13th for an organization/department, should direct meal questions your respective organization/department.
- Individuals approved to arrive prior to January 13th due to extenuating circumstances will be required to pay for meals out of pocket.
