Competitive Scholarships and Fellowships

One of the most exciting prospects for a beginning scholar is winning a nationally competitive scholarship or fellowship. Winning a major fellowship can be a tremendously important moment in a scholar’s life. Fellowships may support undergraduate or graduate study or may enable independent study in a foreign country. A list of some of the most prominent scholarships and fellowships is included here. Students who are interested in applying for a grant should work closely with a faculty member. Sophomores are encouraged to begin the process of identifying a grant for which they would like to apply so they can prepare their application during their junior year.

The Ithaca College coordinator for external fellowships, grants, and academic opportunities is Professor Hugh Egan. Please click here to learn more about these opportunities.
