As an aspiring broadcast journalist, I am looking forward to continuing my involvement with various organizations at Ithaca College. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I am completing my fall semester via remote learning. Nevertheless, I am excited to reprise my role as a reporter for ICTV’s Thursday Newswatch show. I cannot wait to continue to further augment my skills by diving into a new setting --- remote reporting. This semester, I will also be interning with MyCollegeTimeline; a modern e-learning platform with the goal of making college preparation fun and effective.
As a Park Scholar, I am grateful to be continuing my work as a tutor for Village at Ithaca. Having worked with this organization in the fall of my sophomore year and this past summer as well, I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the Tompkins County community. In terms of group service, I will also be participating in WRFI’S Which Way Forward Series. WRFI will be producing a podcast series revolving around the U.S. police system.
I am excited to grow as a student and person in this program while continuing to utilize the resources available to make my dreams come true.
