I am thrilled to begin my sophomore year at Ithaca College after a productive summer interning for the Women’s Sports Foundation. I was able to use many of the skills I have learned as a Journalism major and a Women & Gender Studies minor to help create social and digital content for WSF. This was especially exciting given that the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics happened throughout the summer. During the semester, I will be continuing my work with WSF, as well as working as an assistant news editor for The Ithacan — the student-run, award-winning newspaper at Ithaca College. For my group service project, I will be working with other Park Scholars through Megaphone, where I will help to edit the digital copy that we will create for The Village at Ithaca’s website. I will also be volunteering at the Tompkins County Public Library. I am so excited to be back on campus this semester and am incredibly grateful to be able to dive into all of the opportunities the Park Scholar Program has given me so far.
