Growing up, I have always been interested in healthcare, and for improving the lives of the population. Admittedly, when I first came to Ithaca College I was unsure what I would do for the future. Eventually, I found my home in the public and community health major, where I was able to merge these two goals and interests. In job and internship experiences, I always come back to the content and skills I have learned in my classes at Ithaca College and I consider myself lucky to get such an amazing education!
Looking back at the last four years, I would have to say my most memorable experience would be participating in case management competitions during my senior year. I participated in my first competition as a senior at Penn State with some of my fellow health promotion and physical education students, and it has allowed me to become a more confident student and presenter. Having the opportunity to solve healthcare issues for leaders in my field as an undergraduate is something that I will always treasure. I would like to thank my professors at Ithaca College and the Dean's Office for preparing me for this experience and helping me attend, and I look forward to seeing my fellow students complete them in the following years.
