Adaptive Paddlesports Workshop

ACA Adaptive Paddlesports Workshop

At the core of the American Canoe Association Adaptive Paddlesports Workshops (APWs) provide the training and information necessary to seamlessly integrate individuals with physical disabilities into outdoor recreation programs in the context of paddle-sports.  ACA Certified Instructors can earn the Adaptive Paddling Endorsement.  Other paddlers who are not yet Instructors can earn an ACA Certificate of Completion.  However, basic pre-existing paddling skills will be necessary to pass the course.

For anyone with a physical disability who is interested in becoming a paddler, the final day of this APW offers a perfect opportunity to learn from experts about how to modify equipment and techniques to paddle kayaks comfortably, safely, and with a high level of independence and performance.  To participate for free during the final day of this APW please email Jennifer Wells at jlmiller@ithaca.edu.

Registration will close on April 2, 2022 or when the workshop fills to capacity. There are only 10 spaces available in the APW.  Fill out the Google Registration Form here!  Contact jlmiller@ithaca.edu with any questions.
