Nora Vail is the recipient of the Drago Chemistry Award. This award is given to a rising senior based on academic achievement, laboratory skills, promise in the field of Chemistry and recommendations by the faculty of the Department of Chemistry.
About Nora: Nora Vail had no idea what her direction would be in college when she arrived to Ithaca College. After rearranging her schedule to avoid an 8 am freshman seminar, she found herself in her first chemistry class and hasn’t looked back since. Besides learning about chemistry and doing lots of research, Nora has enjoyed being a TA and a tutor, especially for first year students. After graduating from IC, Nora plans on pursuing her doctorate, working in industry, and then eventually teaching.
