Olivia Grogan is the recipient of the Drago Chemistry Award.  This award is given to a rising senior based on academic achievement, laboratory skills, promise in the field of Chemistry and recommendations by the faculty of the Department of Chemistry.

About Olivia:  It was in Janet Hunting’s principals of chem that I fell in love with chemistry. I was a biochem major and transferred to chemistry only. I was a summer scholar my freshman year and worked with Anna Larsen on organometallic chemistry and then Andy Torelli for environmental citizen science. I am currently doing research in Janet’s solid state chemistry lab for cathode supports in PEM fuel cells. I plan on attending grad school for environmental chemistry and then working in industry for awhile before transferring to academia.
