Qualifications:

  • Student must be a major within the Theatre Arts Management major.
    • Preference will be given to students with Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
  • Must be available to work 5-10 hours per week between the hours of 8 a.m. and  8 p.m.
  • Excellent communications skills across multiple platforms
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent list-making and information-tracking skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Basic skills in Tessitura ticketing system
  • Demonstration of attention to detail
  • Demonstration of problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstration of ability to follow instructions
  • Demonstration of ability to work independently and with others (student peers and TAM faculty and staff)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring and demonstrating a thorough knowledge of:
    • Box Office and Theatre Department policies and procedures
    • Theatre seating maps
    • Selling tickets using the Tessitura ticketing system
  • Assisting the supervisor of audience services with processing of subscriptions:
    • Seating subscribers
    • Processing subscriptions in Tessitura
    • Sending confirmation e-mails
  • Assisting th supervisor of audience services with creating the program shell:
    • Contacting organizations for ad trades and ad placements
    • Communicating with graphic designer about ads and artwork
  • Other duties as assigned

Hours: 5 hours per week, 14 weeks per semester
