William Crankshaw, Ph.D., named Superintendent of Greater Johnstown School District

William Crankshaw, Ph.D. (BM Music Education) was recently approved to become the new Superintendent of the Greater Johnstown School District. Crankshaw is a former graduate of the Johnstown High School, where he eventually returned as a music teacher and department head for 14 years.

Since then, Crankshaw has served in a myriad leadership roles. These include Principal (Glebe Street Elementary School), Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction & Committee on Special Education Chairperson (Northville Central School District), and Superintendent (Remsen Central School District). He leaves his most recent role as Superintendent at the Cooperstown Central School District.
