The Jazz Lab Band is directed by Bill Tiberio. The group gives music students the opportunity to develop and hone their jazz skills playing in a supportive, positive big band setting. The ensemble performs a blend of repertoire from the traditional giants to many of the current leading writers of jazz ensemble music. During each rehearsal, all group members take improvised solos while working on their jazz style and phrasing.
