Maggie Lubinski was named Teacher of the Month in February, 2011, at Liberty Middle School in Centerville, Virginia. She was described as having a "bundle of energy, works way beyond her hours, and is a real team player." She also arranged for her middle school students to be mentored by SCORE, a group of string musicians from the Fairfax County Orchestra in March, 2011. Six professional musicians joined her intermediate and advanced orchestras for a side by side tutorial. She completed her degree in the summers-only MM Music Education Program in August.
