Does Ithaca prepare students for law school?
If you're interested in pursuing a career in law or a law-related field, Ithaca can help: the breadth of our academic programs allows you to prepare for the rigors of law school while pursuing your choice of majors, and this is a preferred pathway to law school. Alternatively, students interested in law may major or minor in legal studies, an option very suitable for students who want to study the role of law in American culture or who are interested in legal careers but not necessarily law school. Whether students choose the prelaw option through the School of Humanities and Sciences or a legal studies major or minor offered within the School of Business, the prelaw program we provide offers specialized advising and other opportunities designed to prepare students for successful application to law school.
