What clubs/organizations are you involved in?

  • Voice of Ithaca College Radio (online radio station manager)
  • The Ithacan (opinion editor)
  • Stillwater Magazine (fiction editor)
  • Exploratory Program (peer mentor and ambassador)

Where have you studied abroad?

I studied abroad in Rome, Italy!

Have you been engaged in research, internship opportunities, student teaching, or conferences?

Last summer, I was a music business and publishing intern at Phase One Network in New York City. This past fall, I went to the College Broadcasting Inc. (CBI) Student Electronic Media Convention in St. Louis, Missouri, where I led a roundtable discussion about a radio station’s role in the #MeToo movement.

Why did you choose Ithaca College?

I chose Ithaca College for so many reasons, but one of them was the Exploratory Program. As a graduating senior in high school, I had no idea what I wanted to major in, even less of an idea of what I wanted to do for a career. The Exploratory Program taught me that “there is always more than one way to get where you’re going,” and the advising and constant support from my faculty advisor and peers made all the difference. I made some of my best friends and lifelong relationships through this program, not to mention that I found the major that fit me best and has provided me with endless opportunities for growth and direction. The English department is the coolest group of faculty on campus! I truly lucked out, and it is thanks to my time in the Exploratory Program.
