What clubs/organizations are you involved in?

  • Committee on Decolonial Affairs is a club that I helped start at IC with some fellow students. In November 2018, I had the opportunity to go to the U.S./Mexican border for a Border Encuentro. My peers and I wanted to bring a lot of what we learned back to Ithaca and are working on putting out a monthly newsletter.
  • I am a delegate for the Model United Nations team and see Model UN like an extended family. They have made me feel at home both on IC’s campus and around the country at various conferences in the Northeast.
  • Resident assistant (RA)

Where have you studied abroad?

Seville, Spain, in fall 2019

Have you been engaged in research, internship opportunities, student teaching, or conferences?

I have had the opportunity to engage in two of my own research studies, in politics and sociology. My mentors have been very supportive and have lent their expertise to help me succeed.

What is the best class that you’ve taken so far and why?

While I have taken many amazing classes, the two courses that stand out are my independent study classes. I was able to design my own syllabi and work with experts in academia to develop studies that I am passionate about.
