What clubs/organizations are you involved in?
- I am the secretary of the Ithaca College Physical Therapy Student Association. This club/organization works to bring together all the physical therapy cohorts, creating a greater sense of community. We host events for the preprofessional students to network with the professional students, as well as all students to engage more with the faculty.
- Ithaca College Physical Therapy Students of Color
- I am also secretary of IC Unbound Dance Company. This dance organization is made up of 100+ people per semester. We work to coordinate club events, promotional content, and the 25+ dances for each semester’s showcase. My job is to send out emails and keep tabs on everyone in the company, keeping people up-to-date on all things Unbound!
- Pulse Hip Hop
- Asian American Alliance
Are you involved in the Honors, Leadership Scholar, MLK Scholar, or Park Scholar Program?
I am in the Honors Program. This involves taking honors courses and interacting with other honors students and faculty. I also lived in the Honors Residential Learning Community my first year at IC.
Are you involved in IC athletics?
Dance is the main sport that I am a part of, so it is within the capacity of a club/student organization. I also partook in intramural basketball for a little bit.
What’s your favorite spot on campus and why?
My favorite spot on campus is the little alcove on the third floor of Peggy Ryan Williams Center. It includes a set of four lounge chairs and one table. The view is second to none, and the area overlooks the pathway leading up to the stairs to the fountains. You can see so much from the glass-enclosed area, and I love its seclusion from the rest of campus for the most part.
Is there anything else you would want to share with a prospective student?
The college search can be scary, but it is nothing one cannot accomplish! YOU will make the most of your college experience wherever you end up! It is not where you end up as much as it is what you choose to do that makes the difference. College is said to be the best four years of your life. I have faith that you will find your match! Good luck with your search!
