We are glad that you are interested in joining us, and would like to make sure that you are provided with the tools necessary to assist you in determining if Ithaca is the right choice for you. With that in mind, we would like to call your attention to the following websites/tools that you might find useful:
College Scorecard: The Scorecard is a planning tool and resource designed to assist students and their families as they evaluate options in selecting a school. It includes items such as cost, graduation rate, loan default rate, and median borrowing. You can reach their site at http://collegecost.ed.gov/scorecard/.
College Navigator: This comprehensive tool provides school information including tuition and fees, retention, graduation rates, use of financial aid, and student loan default rates. The site also features a cost calculator and a school comparison tool. The College Navigator is located at http://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/.
Financial Aid Shopping Sheet: The Shopping Sheet is a model aid award letter designed to simplify the information that prospective students receive about costs and financial aid so that they can easily compare institutions and make informed decisions about where to attend school. Once an accepted student has paid an enrollment deposit to the College, access is available to review the Shopping Sheet. Contact the Office of Student Financial Services for details (firstname.lastname@example.org or 800-429-4275).
“Paying for College” website: This webpage can be used by prospective students to enter the names of up to three schools and receive detailed financial information and comparisons on each one. It also allows you to enter actual financial aid award information. You can locate the webpage at http://www.consumerfinance.gov/paying-for-college/.
