How many courses should I take in a semester?
The number of courses you will take each semester may vary. For example, music students take a large number of courses, but many of them are only worth .5 or 1 credit. It is better to focus on the number of credits you take each semester and there are many factors that determine this.
Most students take 12-18 credits. To maintain full-time status you must enroll in 12 credits. To be eligible for the Dean’s List you must take 15 credits. The maximum number of credits covered by tuition is 18 credits. There are many factors that determine the number of credits you will take each semester.
