Bridge Up Scholars

The Bridge Up Program was an initiative under the first iteration of the BOLD Women's Mentoring Network that ran during the 2018-2019 academic year. In order to serve a greater number of underrepresented students who have demonstrated strong leadership potential, this program provided a scholarship of $10,000 to 14 women-identified students in their sophomore year. Bridge Up Scholars are invited to participate in BOLD programs and events including the annual retreat, reception dinners, and other events.

Ithaca College welcomed their cohort of Bridge Up Scholars in the Fall of 2018. The scholars included: Gabriela Espaillat Fernandez, Chanelle Ferguson, Nora Foster, Hope Gardner, Carolina Jeronimo, Oluwadamilola Odulaja, Angelina Randazzo, Lesley Rodriguez, Emily Rosato, Emma Scheneman, Stuti Singh, Yetunde Smalls, Selin Tuter, and Remi Yuter.

The goals of the Bridge Up Program included:

1. To show younger students (sophomores) how change is being enacted on campus by older students.

2. Connect the dots between the campus project and current resources, learn about service, impact and challenges in these centers.

3. Light exposure to the BOLD curriculum/programming.
