Becoming a BOLD Scholar!

If you are interested in becoming a BOLD Scholar

BOLD scholars are awarded a two-year scholarship of up to $21,500 per year and those selected will become part of a cohort of about 10 students. In spring 2024, we will be recruiting students who intend to graduate in 2026.

The application opens on March 1, 2024 and will close on Friday, March 22 at 5:00pm. Students who wish to apply should log in to IC Engage and then click this link to apply.

Scholar Selection Criteria

The BOLD Women's Leadership Network at Ithaca College will be a diverse cohort of Scholars who are ready to take on the challenges and rewards of this prestigious program! 

Candidates for the BOLD program at Ithaca College must: 

  • Be enrolled as full-time students. 

  • Will have earned sufficient credits to be considered a member of the Junior Class at the start of the Fall 2024 semester. 

  • Have a minimum 3.0 CGPA (3.0 minimum GPA must be maintained throughout the program.). 

  • Be in good judicial standing.

  • Demonstrate financial need (FAFSA must be filed; each Scholar’s personal situation will be reviewed with Student Financial Services team to determine need). 

  • Demonstrate potential to be a leader in their field and promote the mission of the BOLD Women’s Leadership Network. 

  • Complete the online application before the published deadline.

Spring 2024 BOLD Scholar selection timeline:

March 1: Application Opens

March 22: Application Closes at 5pm

March 25-29: All applications will be reviewed and candidates will be notified whether they have been selected to move on to the interview round.

April 1-12: Interviews held at a variety of times. Each interview will be less than one hour and will involve at least two interviewers from the selection team.

April 19: Candidates will be notified about their final selection status.
