Internships are an integral part of a business education. They
bridge classroom learning with real-world experiences, enhance the
resume, and provide networking and relationship building
opportunities with industry leaders. Our students pursue
internships at a wide variety of companies, non-for-profit
agencies, and government office.
But don't take our word for it, check out what they have to say!

"I interned over the summer at a small non-profit that works to protect consumer privacy on the internet. My tasks varied from using saleforce, to creating a survey, editing videos, and doing research. Overall a valuable experience that helped me gain insight into the working world."
"INTURN is a rapidly growing software service company that strives to provide quicker methods for fashion brands and off-price retailers to openly communicate and negotiate sales contracts. As the intern at INUTRN, I had the opportunity to wear multiple hats by working on multiple projects for each department of the company. For instance, I participated in key Human Resources projects for the Chief of Operations, such as creating a new Human Resources platform for the company through BambooHR. Additionally, I incorporated crucial information about INTURN's clients into the company's Salesforce Platform. I also created a competitors matrix for the business development team to showcase how INTURN differentiates itself from its competitors. Finally, I partook in a large research project for the Chief of Marketing regarding how the company can effectively engage in Business-to-Business advertising through the company's various social media platforms. I learn so much about each facet of a business through this internship, as well as how to effectively organize my priorities and manage my time well."
"This experience in NYC so far has been everything I could have asked for, and more. It has really helped me gain a sense of how to be a valuable asset to a company, and how to manage my time between work and class. I am interning for Madison Square Garden, in the Marketing Partnerships division. More specifically, I collaborate with the Account Management team to create and maintain sponsorship contractual elements for clients within various industries. I also help coordinate and execute promotions and marketing elements at various team home games for the Knicks, Rangers, and Liberty. Learning and interacting with many of my industry's leaders has been such an amazing experience, and living in New York City will be something I never forget! I highly recommend any Ithaca College students to take part in this amazing ICNYC program!"
"I was asked to design the composites for the male models for Milan Fashion Week 2015. I also communicated with a number of top fashion companies including Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel to help confirm castings for our signed models. Finally, I acted as a translator when models from other countries came into the agency. I would translate English to Italian so that there were no misinterpretations between the models and the agency."
"I worked closely with a managing director with over 30 years of experience who led a team of 6 other investment managers and client relations professionals. "As the Training and Development Intern, my role was to directly assist my team in facilitating short-term and long-term professional training and development programs. Our programs were offered to operations employees within the Network Operations department and the operations employees within the 32 charter schools dispersed throughout 4 boroughs of New York City. These programs are to ensure that operations employees are aligned with the values of the organization, recognize opportunities for personal growth, enhance the skills necessary to succeed in their roles, and provide them with resources to pursue additional training on their own. My key responsibilities were event planning, presentation training, and translating training feedback into data driven goals for future improvements."
"This internship was a great follow up from my first internship as it was a great experience to learn about the various operations that go on in a small business after previously working in a larger corporation. I held multiple positions within the company which has allowed me to learn about all of the aspects of running a small business. Because of this internship, I now have a greater appreciation of the hard work and determination it takes to buy a struggling business and build into something special."

"During the fall of 2015 I participated in the Ithaca College New York City program. While in NYC I interned at The Players’ Tribune as an Athlete Relations/Marketing intern. I was responsible for compiling contact information for agencies and teams, crafting target lists, creating athlete background profiles, general research, transcribing interviews, and much more. My most valuable experience at my internship was being able to sit in on daily meetings throughout the office. I truly got a sense of the ins and outs of what it takes to work in this field.
My experience with The Players’ Tribune was incredible. I learned a great deal about the sports industry while also enhancing my professional skills. The office atmosphere was amazing-everyone was tremendously helpful and willing to give me the most of my experience. It was like a big family.
I owe a lot of my success to the business school, as they prepared me both academically and professionally. I networked with everyone in the office and still remain in contact with many.
