For Students unable to attend this Fall

Packages and belongings sent in advance for Fall move in

Following the College's announcement on August 18 to shift to fully remote study this Fall semester, all packages currently received by IC Mail Service, and any which are already en route to the College, will be automatically held. IC Mail Service and the Office of Residential Life are working together this Fall to move all pending packages and shipped belongings to students' upcoming Spring semester room/apartment assignments so that everything is waiting for them when they move in for Spring.

  • If you would prefer to have your advance-shipped packages or belongings returned to the sender or reshipped somewhere else, we will be happy to assist with this process. Please email us at icmailservice@ithaca.edu, or call 607-274-3371, to discuss available options.
  • All LETTER mail (especially OFFICIAL ELECTION MAIL, along with all other First Class envelopes, postcards, etc) received at Mail Service will be automatically FORWARDED (if eligible) to the student's permanent home address on file with the Office of the Registrar. Anything which cannot be Forwarded per USPS regulations will be Returned to the Sender. Mail Service is unable to provide tracking or record keeping of Letter Mail which is Forwarded or Returned to Sender.
