Emergency Funds Made Available

During the spring of 2020, Ithaca College received $4,583,253 in funding through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

All Funds Now Distributed

As of August 25, 2020, all available CARES Act funds have been distributed to eligible Ithaca College students.

A quarterly report detailing IC's expenditure of this money is available.

Ithaca College signed and returned to the Department a Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the fundsĀ (approximately $2.3 million) received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

The college identified students eligible to receive funds and sent each individual a survey via Ithaca College email that outlined the amount of their grant and required the student accept, decline or reduce the awarded amount.
