This series focuses on the lives and voices of Black Men. Specifically, it explores black men's complex relationships to self-determination and agency, state surveillance and violence, education, constructions of masculinity, socio-economic factors, and cultural representations. In enabling a critical engagement with these issues, the Series hopes to address the sensationalisms, successes, sexualities, responsibilities, celebrations, violences, and endangerments that form the framework for understanding the lives of black men.
