It's Coming: the New ithaca.edu

We are thrilled to announce that the college-wide effort to overhaul the Ithaca College website by 2018 is well underway.
This project is being led by a collaborative team of IC staff from IT and College Relations and Communications. We bring together expertise in web and visual design, information architecture, web development and infrastructure, content strategy, user experience, project management, creative storytelling, multimedia production, marketing strategy, user research and analytics, and a slew of other specialties required to build a modern website for the audience of today and of the future.
All of this talent is coming together with one basic goal in mind: to deliver the best web experience possible, for 2017 and into the future. We're not just redesigning how the site looks and functions; we're also rebuilding the tools and technology that run it, making it easier for people to manage content and easier for our evolving audiences to find and use what they're looking for.
We want ithaca.edu to be your partner across the IC experience, empowering you with the information and tools you need to unlock your potential and impact our communities.
But we have a lot of work to do to get there, and we look forward to sharing that process with you here.
In future posts, you'll get to meet more of the team and read about particular parts of this project they're working on. You'll learn a lot about what it takes to build something this big, and share in the challenges and triumphs.
