Congratulations on the completion of your graduate degree, a significant achievement well worth celebrating. As the coronavirus public health crisis continues to evolve, Ithaca College has now cancelled all on-campus Commencement activities previously scheduled for the weekend of August 1-2, which included our traditional Graduate Hooding ceremony. Instead, we are looking forward to celebrating our graduates with a virtual 2020 Commencement event in hopes of preserving some signature moments and creating meaningful celebration. The Ithaca College Commencement Committee, Class of 2020 officers, and members of the college’s leadership have decided to celebrate each school independently. Masters and Doctoral 2020 graduates are encouraged to attend their school's virtual ceremony in order to be individually recognized alongside their fellow graduates.

In addition, the college will have an opportunity to gather in person on South Hill over the weekend of June 25 – 27, 2021. This is the new date for next year’s Alumni Weekend, and we are planning a slate of events just for our Class of 2020, including a celebration event for the 2020 Masters and Doctoral candidates.

This website has been created to provide all of the planning information you will need. As soon as decisions are made, we will post all updates on this website and within our Commencement FAQs. However, please feel free to also contact your Dean’s office or the Office of the Provost if you have any additional questions.
