Congratulations to our 2024 Student Marshals

At Ithaca College, the position of marshal for degree candidates is one of the highest honors bestowed on graduating seniors. These marshals are selected in February for the Commencement ceremony in May. The registrar prepares a list of eligible candidates based on the criteria below, and one student is selected by the dean of each school. Student marshals must be senior undergraduates who have earned at least 60 course credits at Ithaca College, maintain a current cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and are expected to graduate in May (or December for performance/music education majors). Selected students are, with a few exceptions, the undergraduates who have maintained the highest GPA in their respective schools.
