Lisa Paciulli, Department of Anthropology - Ithaca College (2007-08)

Proposal: “Global Change: A Biological Anthropological Approach for Understanding Homo sapiens’ Relationship with Earth.”

Outcome: Develop a new interdisciplinary course to focus on how various aspects of the planet evolved and existed before and after our ancestors began evolving 7-6 million years ago.


Paula Turkon, Department of Anthropology - Ithaca College (2007-08)

Proposal: Refine content of “Human Environmental Impact”

Outcome: Turkon further developed her archaeology course to bridge the existing prehistoric, data-focused approach with modern issues of sustainability to make the course more relevant to the students’ own life experiences and actions.
