Marshall Pokrentowski is a Senior vocal music education major at Ithaca College; he is originally from Syracuse, New York, where he began to study singing in High School. At Ithaca College, Marshall has been very active in theatrical productions, starting with a production of RENT his first semester in which he played Tom Collins. Since then, he has participated in IC mainstage opera productions of Semele, and La clemenza di Tito, and he is cast in the 2018 mainstage production of Cendrillon playing the role of Le Roi, and covering the role of Pandolfe. This past July, Marshall attended the International Performing Arts Institute (IPAI) summer program in Kiefersfelden, Germany. During the program, he studied the German language, opera, and art song. Marshall has been singing with the Ithaca College Choir for three years, performing in prestigious places such as Lincoln Center in NYC, and an anticipated performance at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) eastern conference in March of 2018. Marshall will be student teaching beginning in October at Fayetteville-Manlius High School in Syracuse, NY. For his first three years at IC, Marshall studied with Randie Blooding. He is very excited to be joining the studio of Dawn Pierce beginning this semester!
