Karel Husa Visiting Professor Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez’s captivating orchestral work Girando y Danzando, a piece that resulted from a commission by the Paul Jacobs Memorial Foundation and premiered at the Tanglewood Music Festival in 1996, will be performed by the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Jonathan Pasternack. The program also includes works by Shostakovich and Jolivet.
