The Finger Lakes Project - A Sustainability Education Resource

The Finger Lakes Project (FLP) is a community of educators dedicated to developing the theory and application of integrating sustainability concepts into diverse disciplines and all aspects of education. We do this through three main avenues:

1) The FLP web page provides an online resource for educators seeking ideas and inspiration for integrating sustainability into their educational activities.

2) The FLP works with the Ithaca College/EcoVillage-at-Ithaca Partnerships in Sustainability Education by providing funds, professional development, and curricular consulting for faculty, staff, and students participating in an internal mini-grant program that provides support for new course ideas and designs.

3) The FLP annual workshop, inspired by AASHE's Sustainability Across the Curriculum Leadership workshops, is aimed at educators from K-12 to college and provides ideas for course design and content using examples from successful past mini-grant projects, and cross-disciplinary placed-based activities.
