I am associate professor in sociology and currently direct the honors program. I teach classes related to social movements and social change, and often involve students in civic engagement opportunities. I also teach for the Latin American Studies minor and for Women and Gender Studies. My husband and I just adopted a baby so I will be on leave in Fall 2018, but I’m glad to be in touch after that. I enjoy bicycling, hiking, camping and gardening. I speak Spanish and have enjoyed opportunities to learn from people involved in social justice efforts in Latin America, including the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Chile.
