This will be my 19th year at Ithaca College as the head coach of the women's basketball program. I've also assisted with the softball team for the past 10 years, as a way of gradually coming down from the basketball season. Working at Ithaca College is a dream job for me as it is a second career and it has provided my family tremendous opportunities to meet and work with great people; students, faculty and staff. I was a first generation and non traditional student who began my journey to Ithaca College, when, at the age of 35 with a wife and three young daughters, I chose to leave my hometown and job to attend college to pursue a career as a college coach in order to have an impact in the lives of young adults.
Family means everything to me and that is not only my own children and now grandchildren, but all the students who participated in our basketball program here are part of our, my wife and my family. We will be attending two weddings this September. The first is an Ithaca College alumna, who played basketball for four years here and the second is my youngest daughter's, just as an example of our family. I expect to reconnect with several of IC's best at the first wedding and see our family grow with the addition of a son in law and his family at my daughter's wedding.
