What advice would you give new first-gen students?

Don't be afraid to ask your professors questions! Check out the different services Ithaca offers such as academic advising, the writing center or CAPS for your mental health. Join clubs if you can, even if it means going alone, trust me you won't be the only one! Lastly, I know this is all-new, it's okay to be scared or worried, you are not alone. We are here for you!

What is your favorite Ithaca College tradition or event?

Apple Fest! I love anything that has to do with fall and the apple cider donuts are bomb.

Favorite Class you've taken at IC? (And why)
My favorite class was my freshman seminar, Everything I Know About Communication, I learned from Homer Simpson, with Dr. House. It was the first time I was introduced to the idea of sociology and how systems impact the lives of individuals and communities. Dr. House was also the best in allowing us to have real critical thought and conversations using an animated television show. We learned that the show used rhetoric to shape human behavior and thought through the different characters and situations they were put in, something I was not expecting...

What is your favorite quote or life motto?

Stay in the moment. As humans, we spend too much time focusing on the past or the future, something we have no control over at times.

If you had one extra hour a day, how would you spend it?

I would spend it reflecting, writing, dancing or painting. And mainly use it to self-care and organize my thoughts.

Favorite Ithaca-area restaurant/coffee shop/food location:

Taste of Thai and Ithaca Coffee Company!
