What advice would you give new first-gen students?
To take advantage of the opportunities offered at IC. My first year I attended several different club meetings, I joined CSTEP, I had two jobs, I went to office hours and had my own tutoring group and also went to different events. My best advice is to take advantage of all the great opportunities presented at school so they can be very successful students and have a social life as well.
Student Organizations, Clubs, or Athletic Teams you are a part of:
Poder, Black Student Union, I was also part of FIRST Look in 2019
What would you love to find at a yard sale?
Old Baseball Cards, so I can sell and make a profit from.
Do you have any hidden talents?
If you could have front row seats to any concert, who would you like to see? (can be dead or alive)
What is your dream job?
Favorite Class you've taken at IC? (And why)
My favorite class so far was my seminar class, called high as a kite. I really enjoyed learning about the experiences of my classmates as it relates to their personal experiences involving drugs. We had a lot of interesting class discussions.
