Alumni and Parent Volunteers

Cornell Woodson '09

Cornell Woodson earned a bachelor's degree at Ithaca College in communication management and design, and in 2011, he signed on to serve as the young alumni chair of the Ithaca College Annual Fund. Cornell is currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education and student affairs administration at the University of Vermont.

"I give to IC because I believe in the vision and mission of this institution. I believe that IC has a bright future ahead, and I want to do my part in making that happen," he says. "More importantly, I give back to show my mentors and professors just how much I appreciate what they have done for me."

While at IC, Cornell was active in many clubs and organizations and in 2008-9 served as president of the Student Government Association. His commitment to volunteerism has extended to his experience as an alumnus.

"I volunteer because I love being a part of the IC family; I cannot seem to get enough of this place," he says. "Coming back and staying involved with the institution reenergizes me when I need it most. It's home!"
