Flexible Work Arrangments (FWA)
Supervisors are responsible for maximizing resources and utilizing staff talents. They are best positioned to understand the demands of the work and the capacity of individual staff members to succeed in flexible work arrangements (FWA).
The request for a Flexible Work Arrangement is made by the employee, however the decision to approve a Flexible Work Arrangement belongs to the supervisor. Supervisors must be prepared to manage the work under the conditions of the arrangement.
