Recognition for Service

Ithaca College’s Recognition for Service program honors faculty, staff, and administrators who have completed 10+ years of service, with recognition at 5-year intervals (that is 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50+ years of service), as well as employees who have retired (are retiring) during the relevant fiscal year.  Eligibility is determined by an employee’s anniversary date and parallels the College's June through May fiscal year; therefore, anniversaries and retirements falling between June 1 and May 31 of any given year would be recognized at the May event.  Each honoree is joined by his/her supervisor; the vice president/dean for each division also receives an invitation.  The employee must have an employment status of full-time or part-time “regular”, meaning they hold a budgeted position on campus that is also eligible to receive benefits through the College.

Your HR is pleased to announce the following programmatic changes: 

  • 1 Year: Employees that have served one year of service (benefits eligible or not) will receive a certificate package. The packet will include a certificate and pin to mark the SPECIAL occasion. It will also include either a written or typed note from your supervisor. Each packet will be delivered from HR to the individual’s supervisor and presented on the individual’s one-year anniversary.
  • 5 Year: Employees that have served five years of benefits eligible service and will receive a acrylic certificate package. Again, each packet will be delivered from HR to the individual’s supervisor and presented on the individual’s five-year anniversary. It will also include either a written or typed note from your supervisor.
