Community Community
Ithaca College can be more than a place you work but a connection to a vibrant community

There is a unique culture that develops when working on a college campus. Being a mid-size residential college we are not only a place of work, but also a place where many live. This blending of two worlds, normally considered separate, provides the elements needed to build a rich and supportive community of students, academics, employees and more.

The Office of Human Resources does what it can in order to promote and maintain this healthy community by putting regular community events. These programs allow our 1,700 employees to have a chance to take a break from their work and get to know someone from another department of the college.

Our Employee Relations & Diversity department provides a number of services to support a healthy community. From information about onboarding new employees, to dispute resolution services we are here to help you get connected to others working on campus. Employee Relations & Diversity has also launched the Affinity Group program, which helps employee create groups that meet on a regular basis both inside and outside of work. For a full list of the current Affinity Groups and information on how to start a new one please visit the Affinity Groups webpage.
