Danette Johnson Coordinates 104th Annual Eastern Communication Convention in Pittsburgh
Congratulations to Dr. Danette Johnson, Professor of Communication Studies and Director of the Core Curriculum for the College. As first vice president of the Eastern Communication Association, Dr. Johnson planned and coordinated the annual meeting, held in Pittsburgh and drawing attendees from across the nation. ECA is one of the largest regional associations in the discipline.
The theme of this year's conference was "Confluence". Chosen for the state of the discipline, as well as the geography of the host city, the theme resulted in many fascinating papers and presentations. The conference also offered a number of short courses and interest group business meetings.
Coordinating and hosting the conference is especially impressive in light of Dr. Johnson's duties on campus this past year. Warmest congratulations, Danette, from your colleagues in Communication Studies, in H&S, and across the College.
