About “Through the Eyes of an ENVS Student”

Hello! My name is Jordan Frey and I am an Environmental Studies major, with a minor in Anthropology, and a member of the Ithaca College Honors Program.  Outside the classroom, I am currently the Vice President of Ithaca College Environmental Society, a steward for Ithaca College Natural Lands, and an intern for the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival.  I have also collaborated with Bomber Bikes, a student organization geared towards improving bike usage on campus, and the Environmental Leadership and Actions Network, an off campus organization dedicated to environmental and social justice through direct action.  I also work for for the Resource and Environmental Management Program to help raise awareness about ecological issues and encourage environmentally responsible behavior of campus residents.

As you can see, it is very easy to become involved in many of the different facets of environmentalism both on and off campus.  The opportunities to get involved with clubs, internships, jobs, and volunteer positions are endless.  Stay posted to find out about the kinds of things I've been doing on and off campus in the environmental field!
