Italian

Our vibrant Italian program provides Ithaca College students with the ability to hone their linguistic fluency while learning valuable professional skills in areas such as translation and X.

Teaching Assistantships

Students serve as language drill instructors for our beginning Italian classes. Assistants are paid and work closely with Italian professors to develop effective drill sessions and earn invaluable teaching experience.

Chiacchiere: Italian Conversation Hour

Native-speaking Italian students host our weekly conversation hours. Topics of discussion range widely, but emphasis is always on "la dolce vita." Students say these sessions provide them with an immersive language-learning experience in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

Study Abroad

Ithaca College has numerous affiliations with study abroad programs in Italy. Students generally choose to study abroad for a semester during their junior year at Ithaca College, but options vary as individual students and experiences vary. The Office of International Programs at Ithaca College is a fantastic resource!
